Delicious Food Show 2014

Hey have any of my GTA friends been to the Delicious Food Show down at the CNE grounds before?  I went for the first time today, courtesy of Strauss Water Bar (who I’ll tell you all about soon).  But first come on in to the Direct Energy Centre and check out some of the exhibits.

And of course, to go with your coffee, there was no shortage of baked goods… pastries, cupcakes, cake pops, butter tarts, cookies, and donuts, and so much more…

Here’s a free piece of advice for you.  Whenever you see macarons you must always take a photo of them.  Promise me that you will.  Pinky swear.

And not only was there food, but everything else foodie related.  Kitchen chalkboards…swoon.  Beautiful screenprinted tea towels and letterpress prints.  A few books.

And this is the fabulous hostess with the mostess who toured us around her favourite exhibits in the show.  Abbey Sharpe of Abbey’s Kitchen …here showing us her favourite food truck.  She is just as fun and glamorous in real life as she is online.  Abbey also has her own venue at the Delicious Food Show…Abbey’s Kitchen Stadium…which is hosting Toronto chefs in a cook-off competition with a pantry of sponsored food items.  Check it out and vote for your favourites.  The final showdown happens Sunday afternoon.
