Homemade Orange Cream Milk Bath adds luxurious benefits to your bath, with sweet smelling orange essential oil, skin-soothing milk, cornstarch and baking soda. Packaged in a pretty jar with a handmade label and bakery twine, it also makes a lovely homemade gift.
I once had an Orange Cream scented bubble bath which I loved, as it was fresh and soothing without being floral. When it was discontinued, I was inspired to create something at home to replace it. I added some orange essential oil to a recipe for a homemade milk bath and loved the result. It creates a lovely creamy foam in the tub that easily rinses away afterwards, leaving your skin softened with the pretty scent of orange.
Milk baths are recorded to date back as far as
the days of Cleopatra as a way to soften and moisturize the skin. Today
milk treatments for the skin are available at the spa, but you can make a
homemade milk bath in minutes with ingredients right from your pantry. Besides
the sunshine freshness of having an orange scented bath, there are many
benefits to be derived from orange essential oil including anti-depressant, tonic and
sedative properties… the perfect way to end the day! Packaged in a jar with a handmade label and
bakery twine, it also makes a thoughtful gift.
