Simple boho-inspired clipboard to display positive and inspirational quotes in your home or workspace.
There are a few places in the house where I love to have inspirational quotes posted. Maybe you do too... at your desk, coffee station, or family command centre. I’ve blogged about using clipboards to display printables such as a quote or calendar before. Using a clipboard makes it easy to change things up depending on the seasons or your mood. Today I’m sharing a big set of printable quotes I’ve created, plus a simple way to make a boho chic clipboard so you can easily keep inspiration posted in your home or office space.

Method:
I didn’t want the clipboard “clip” to be bright silver, or with a store brand logo on it. Instead I bought the clipboard pieces separately and was able to get a clip that was matte black. I really preferred it for its rustic, boho chic aesthetic. The masonite board for the backing is inexpensive and can also be found at your local art supply store in various sizes.
I decorated the top by tying a length of wide linen ribbon around the clip. A piece of fabric cut into a wide strip would work equally well. I used a one metre (36 inches) length. It was long enough to work with the size and placement of the bow. Then I trimmed the ribbon ends to the length I wanted with an inverted “v”. Remember to fray the ends of the ribbon too to keep that boho vibe. Depending on the type of clip you get, you may want to tie an additional loop of twine through the top hole to make it easy to hang from any type of hook.
Supplies Needed:
bulldog binder clips in matte black (this one in rose gold is beautiful too)
masonite board 9 x 12 inches (this is where I ordered mine, amazon was not a great source!)
